Frequently asked questions
What is my Bible Lesson?
my Bible Lesson is a new, informative resource for engaging young and youthful thinkers with the Bible and the Christian Science textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. New elements include Bible timelines; notes to give historical context to Bible stories; definitions of unfamiliar words; modern translations of selected Bible verses; and questions to encourage thoughtful responses and practical application of the ideas to daily life. my Bible Lesson also features photos, many of which are the work of young contributors.

What if I'd like to contribute photos to my Bible Lesson?
The idea is for my Bible Lesson to foster a sense of community among its readers, and one way to make this happen is for readers to participate in the publishing of the product. With this in mind, we welcome your submissions of photos—please read the submission guidelines first!
What do BCE and CE (found on the Bible timelines) refer to?
While Christians generally use the abbreviations BC (for “Before Christ”) and AD (from the Latin Anno Domini, “In the Year of Our Lord”) to define historical dates, many scholars use the more inclusive BCE (“Before the Common Era”) and CE (“Common Era”) to avoid insensitivity to non-Christians. This is intended to reflect the diversity and global outlook of our rapidly expanding sense of our world.
